If people from Poland are called Poles, why aren't people from Holland called Holes?

purple life, purple me

Well obviously I love purple things. I am trying to associate purple - the color, to my life. As I would best describe my life as a purple one. For those who don’t understand let me at least give you bits and pieces of my so-called purple life by introducing to you my so-called ME.

I bore as much as I entertain.
I am an optimist as equal as I am a pessimist.
My favorite sin is gluttony and my virtue is self control.
I hate the rain but I can’t stand the heat.
I am a good listener but a bad speaker.
I believe that I am an extrovert but I tend to be introvert.
I am open-minded as much as I am prudent.
I am a dreamer but jaded most of the times.
I love as I hate.
I often say I am hopeful but I don’t mean it.
I am lazy as dog but as strong-willed as a bull.
I am easily overwhelmed but hard to be baffled.
I rest on my laurels but I strike when the iron is hot.
I love metaphors but I rarely use it.
I loathe pain but accept it wholeheartedly when it engulfs me.
Peace for me is overrated but I wanted it in my life.
I am stupid at times – okay, most of the times.
If you bestow trust on me I might disappoint you.
I am a lousy friend as much as I am a faithful one.

So you see the connection? I am some-kind of purplish. I don’t know if I make sense. I hope.
